Gloria Louis XV
Gloria Louis XV, French, 18th century. 5" wide, 22K gold leaf over red, hand carved. This frame is based on a classic Louis XV pattern and utilizes swept sides and carved corner and center cartouches in its design. It was first made for Gloria Vanderbilt in the 1950s and is featured in Mr. Heydenryk's book The Right Frame.
